This site is the primary content hub of Los Angeles-based writer and film critic Spencer Moleda. Raised in Virginia Beach and having survived a South Carolina adolescence on a diet of cinema and podcasts, he transitioned to the west coast in 2015 and has been working as a freelancer in the years since.

Spencer’s essays and film reviews have been featured in over 10 publications both online and in print, including Little White Lies Magazine, The Moderate Voice, We Live Entertainment, and Cinema of Change, and his festival coverage has reached as near as Sundance and as far as the Tokyo International Film Festival, but he’s still hoping to make it to Cannes some day.

Spencer has visited 12 countries, hitchhiked across Europe, crossed the Australian outback strapped to the top of a moving van, climbed to the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro, and has been an avid go player for over a decade, having competed in statewide and international tournaments.

Spencer is also an aspiring filmmaker, but he still needs to grow a pair and finally pickup a camera.
